We run the learnership for you

For companies that host learners or train their own staff - trained people for your business, and real impact in your community.

What it is

What RMK does for you

We connect what your business needs with social responsibility, through skills development programmes.

We deliver our accredited qualifications to your workforce - register your team one by one or in bulk, and follow their progress as they qualify. Or host learners and give them real workplace experience.

How it is structured

Our approach

RMK handles

The accredited content, the daily lessons, facilitators, assessors and moderators, the calendar and the results.

Your business does

Hosts the learner at work, appoints a workplace supervisor, signs the workplace agreement and the weekly hours.

Two ways in

Host learners from RMK, or run a learnership for your own staff in your own partner portal.

Learnerships for your own staff are billed per cohort, on one invoice - never per learner, never by card.

Workplace supervisors

What a workplace supervisor does

Every week

Approves the learner's weekly work plan and signs off the hours they logged, on the Review Queue.

How a supervisor is appointed

The supervisor creates a team profile (the same profile facilitators use), then RMK Admin places them on a learner at your organisation on the Workplace placements screen. Each supervisor has a limit on how many learners they look after at once.

Their access

RMK switches on the supervisor's access to the Review Queue for you - talk to us when you have chosen your supervisor.

Incentives

Tax, B-BBEE and SETA - in plain words

Section 12H learnership allowance

A tax allowance a company can claim for a registered learnership - once when the learner starts and once when they finish.

B-BBEE skills development points

Money spent on training black employees and learners counts towards the Skills Development part of your B-BBEE scorecard.

SETA grants

If you pay the skills development levy, your SETA can pay part of it back as grants for training you do.

Amounts and dates change - confirm with your tax adviser.

No. Staff learnerships are billed per cohort, on one invoice.

Who supervises the learner?

Someone at your business - the workplace supervisor - approves the weekly plan and signs the hours.
