Module Name: Attend to project execution and control processes

Description:This module focuses on the dynamic phase where plans are put into action and continuously monitored. Learners will explore team leadership, task delegation, and quality assurance during execution, alongside techniques for tracking progress (e.g., KPIs, dashboards). A key component is change management, teaching participants how to evaluate and implement modifications without disrupting workflows. The module also covers performance measurement, such as variance analysis and corrective actions, to keep projects on track. Real-world simulations will challenge learners to resolve conflicts, manage bottlenecks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders amid evolving priorities.

Purpuse:Execution and control are where project managers prove their competence, turning plans into tangible results. This module prepares learners to lead teams, adapt to changes, and enforce accountability while maintaining alignment with project goals. It emphasises the soft skills of leadership and negotiation alongside technical skills like schedule compression and cost control. By mastering these processes, participants can minimize disruptions, optimize resource use, and deliver projects that meet or exceed expectations—even in volatile environments.

Rational:Even the best plans require agile execution to succeed. This module responds to the reality that 35% of projects face major scope or schedule changes, and poor control leads to wasted resources. It teaches learners to balance flexibility with discipline, using tools like earned value analysis (EVA) to make data-driven decisions. The integration of stakeholder communication strategies ensures transparency, while risk response techniques mitigate mid-project crises. By combining leadership training with technical controls, the module addresses the top causes of project failure: miscommunication, inadequate monitoring, and resistance to change.
